Funerary reliquary, or container, for the bones of the deceased

Reliquary

This funerary reliquary, (Try and say that a couple of times when you've had a glass of sherry) It is a container, for the bones of the deceased and it was made in Upper Ogowe in Gabon between 1870 and 1920.

The reliquary was designed to protect ancestors from evil forces and to help the living communicate with them and so win good health and success in hunting. It doesn't say whether it was Pay as you Go or Contract Based only.
